Raw Avocado Soup 1 avocado 1/2 onion, copped 1 handful fresh spinach 1 handful cherry tomatoes 1 teaspoon aniseeds juice of 1/2 orange salt & pepper water
Nicola from Macedonia dropped me a message last week because he wanted to be the Mazedonian part in this challenge. And I said – YES, that would be awesome! He even did figure out the dish we should prepare allready. Тавче гравче (Gravche Tavche or Tavce Gravce) – which is not only the most traditional […]
Yay! My first Skype cooking adventure is over and it was a lot of fun. 🙂 Although the connection broke a few times we had so much to laugh about and the food was pretty delicious and very heart warming! My first cooking guest via Skype was Mila from Croatia and this cooking session was […]
For the first time I cooked with someone who is actually living in Berlin. Ruth moved here from Mallorca and it was so nice to meet her. The best thing is that we actually can make plans to meet and cook together again whenever we want because we are living in the same city. And […]
In August a nice Hungarian couple visited us. They did surf our couch and of course as they were veggies – they also teached me how to make the most typical Hungarian dish you can find – yummy Lecsó!
Another country of my favorit continent is part of my challenge: Chile! And it is really one of the countries I wished for to cook with. So I´m very lucky that Jazmín from Chile liked the idea of my project so much that she decided to cook with me. Actually, Jazmín read about my challenge on […]
Oh my Brazilian cooking day was sooo delicious. Again I can say I LOVE the south american cuisine! I think I should move there some time! 😉 But let me tell you about it. My Brazilian guest Felipe surprised me with his blonde hair! His family originaly is from Germany – indeed from Germany! But […]
Komler is quite a short name for this Norwegian dish. But nevertheless it´s one of the most traditional dishes you can find in Norway and the best – it´s (mostly) vegan by itself. So nothing to veganise here.
Another awesome international vegan cooking fest took place in my cute small kitchen. And I´m so sad that all the food is gone now. But the good thing is – I have the recipes! 🙂
When my Taiwanese guest Ya-Chen came into my flat for a few days it was like traveling to Asia. She cooked a lot with us, for us and I always enjoyed when she was sitting with us to tell funny and interesting stories about Taiwan and her childhood.
My dear guest Zäzilie from the netherlands wrote me because she was traveling to Berlin and liked to meet up with another vegan. Actually that nice Dutch girl was raised as a vegetarian. She never had eaten meat in her life, which I found pretty impressive! What great parents Zäzilie must have.
My Paraguayan kitchen guest Rodrigo wasn´t the first time in Berlin. He just loves the city he told me. “There are so many possibilities for vegans. It´s so easy to be vegan in Berlin.”
In my article “Italian & Vegan: Panforte” I told you allready that my Italian guest Mattia lives in Peru. And because he´s such a good cook I asked him to teach me a typical Peruvian dish as well.
When I asked my Belarusian and vegan couchsurfer Tanya what she would recommend as the typical dish from Belarus she didn´t need to think very long before she told me about – Draniki.
Mattia is that great Italian guy from Peru – so he actually could teach me both – Italian and Peruvian cooking. And much more better than that is the fact that this man used to be a dessert cook in Amsterdam, so he really knew what he was talking about and you actually could see […]
Finnish Suvi (vegan) and her friend Annika (also Finnish, interested and experienced in vegan cuisine) were very funny to cook with. Those Finnish girls came into my kitchen and invited me to experience the very delicious Finnish cuisine. We had a lot of fun making those dishes!!
On Couchsurfing (yes again – I just love this website) Angelina wrote me that her boyfriend is from Poland and as both of them are vegan they would like to teach me a very famous Polish dish – Czerwony barszcz z krokietami which means Red borsch with croquettes.
Deutsche Übersetzung Sami from Oregon wrote me a couch & (un)cooking request on couchsurfing.org some month ago. I gladly excepted and we finally ended up in my friend Ninas kitchen to prepare three raw dishes – each of them so delicious that my stomach makes noises just because I´m thinking of them.
This cooking meet up was one of my most delicious ones until now. I met Yvonne from Hongkong via Couchsurfing.org. She was looking for a host in Berlin for one night and I told her that she could sleep on my couch. She ended up sleeping somewhere else because she met a friend who is […]
The cooking with Penny from Cahuita, Costa Rica was pretty inspiring. She and her husband decided to quit eating meat around 45 years ago for ethical reasons! WOW! It´s pretty hard to find someone in Europe who is veggie for so long. You can imagine how impressed I was – I still am! In my […]
I told you some blogs before that my boyfriend and I spent some time in Dominical, pacific coast during our time in Costa Rica but we also went to see the caribbean coast where we stayed in beautiful Cahuita. And that´s where I met Penny.
The main reason why I went to Costa Rica was to visit my dear friend Laila who recently moved there with her husband. And luckily for my challenge Lailas father is from Pakistan which means that she´s half-Pakistani. So we decided to make a delicious Pakistani meal together. Because Laila is a big raw food […]
A German friend who is living in Costa Rica introduced me to the delicious little green/orange Palm Fruits called Pejibayes which you can buy almost everywhere in Costa Rica. The ticos eat them cooked and peeled or as Palm Fruit Soup – Crema de Pejibaye. As I was faszinated by the taste of that gorgeous […]
When Nina and I travelled to England for the Brighton Vegfest we spend some days in London as well. Our first couchsurfing host was Helen. I can not imagine a better person for our very first couchsurfing experience! 🙂 Helen is such a nice person and she even showed us some beautiful places in London where […]
If I wouldn´t have my challenge this year and if I hadn´t host a lovely guest from Belgium because of that challenge – Nina and me never would have been to the Vegfest in Brighton. But I decided to do that challenge and I met that lovely belgian lady named Nathalie – who told us about […]
Okay, let´s go on with my Oscars Watching Buffet. Last time I told you how to make that delicious raw food bread. Of course you need something to put on it. So let´s go on with the two spreads I made. They are very easy to make. The only thing you need is a blender. […]
Yesterday was a very delicious evening for me. And I am about to give you the next recipe of my Raw Foof Oscars Watching Buffet – Broccoli Hemp Bread. You will need a dehydrator for making it. There are cheap and there are very expensive dehydrators you can buy. I was lucky to get a […]
YES, I am watching the Oscars!!! I am a big fan of good movies! That´s why I love to watch the Oscars every single year although I have to stay up till very late hours here in Germany. For this year I decided to make a delicious & healthy buffet for the show instead of […]
